INTRODUCTION OF VIDEO EDITING

 

1.                 What is Editing & Video Editing?

                                                 

Editing is a process of arranging the elements like images, written document sequences, visuals, audios etc., in a proper sequence is called editing.

 

Video Editing is the process of manipulation and arrangements of the elements of motion video’s footage, special effects, images, audio etc., in a sequence or story telling manner.

 

 

2.                 How many types of video editing are there?

 

There are two types of video editing they are;

(a)   Offline Video Editing

(b)   Online Video Editing

 

(a)   Offline Video Editing:  Offline video editing is the process by which raw footage is copied from an original source, without affecting the original film stock or video tape. Once the editing is complete, the original media is then re-assembled in the online editing stage.

 

(b)   Online Video Editing: Online video editing is the process of reassembling the edit to full resolution video after an offline edit has been performed. It is done in the final stage of a video production. It is done in the live news channel, cricket, parliament etc.,
